ggMapping, How to Delete Your Data
Last updated: 18/08/2026
You can delete some or all of your data at any time. Most of it you can do yourself inside the app in a few taps; for anything else, or if you cannot sign in, email us and we will do it for you.
Delete a single panel photo, a panel, or a map
Inside the app:
- Open the map, then the panel.
- To remove one photograph from a panel's history, open that entry and choose "Delete forever".
- To remove a whole panel or a whole map, use Settings, then Maps, and choose Delete on the map you want gone. Everything inside it, including all its photographs, notes, digital panels and game state, goes with it.
Deletion is immediate in your account and on all your signed-in devices. Derived copies (thumbnails, previews and map tiles) are removed with the content they were made from. Backups clear within a reasonable time.
Delete your whole account
Inside the app, open Settings, then your profile, and choose "Delete my account". You will be asked to confirm. This deletes:
- your account and sign-in identity (email, and your Google/Facebook identity if you used it);
- every map, panel, photograph, note, digital panel, deck, moment and game record in your account;
- all derived thumbnails, previews and map tiles made from your content;
- your synced settings.
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Data on your own devices (the app's local storage) is not on our servers; clear it from your browser or uninstall the app to remove it there too.
If you cannot sign in, or want us to do it
Send an email to [email protected] from the address you signed up with, saying what you want deleted (one map, several, or the whole account). If you signed in with Google/Facebook, tell us the email you used. We may ask you to confirm the request from that address so that nobody else can delete your work. We will complete deletion within 30 days and confirm to you by email.
What is not deleted, and why
- Content you had made public and that had already appeared in showcases or been used in derivative works may be kept as described in the Terms of Use, and copies made by other people while it was public are outside our control. Everything private is deleted.
- Server logs kept by our hosting providers (IP addresses, timestamps) are held for a short, fixed period for security and then deleted on their own schedule.
- Backups clear within a reasonable time after deletion.
